CURRENT AND COMPLETED PROJECTS
Spring 2026 — Strengths In Action: A Faculty Toolkit to Foster Wellness and Belonging
This intervention, supported by the Wellness and Belonging Mini Grant at NC State, builds on the 2025 initiative with undergraduate students. The goal of this project is to challenge faculty to utilize various positive psychology practices over the final weeks of the semester. This combined with our 2025 project will integrate faculty and student voices to engage in an iterative development of a strengths-based toolkit for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Fall 2025 — Project Bloom
This intervention was designed to take middle school Montessori students through an adapted version of the Well Being Promotion Program (WBPP). Through the 10-week WBPP, students participated in various positive psychology practices aimed at increasing their overall well being.
Fall 2025 — The Strengths Shelf
This pilot study was co-designed to introduce strengths-based activities to children ages 3-9 at a Montessori school. Students participated in 10 weeks of strengths-based classroom activities designed to increase well being.
Spring 2025 — Empowering Well-being in Undergraduates: A Positive Psychology Workshop and Strengths-Based Intervention
This intervention, supported by the Wellness and Belonging Mini Grant through NC State University, was designed to help students enhance resilience and foster a sense of belonging. Through a structured strengths-based intervention, undergraduate participants engaged in activities aimed at improving well-being and supporting their academic and personal success.
